About Random Collisions
What we do
Random Collisions operates under a peer-mentorship network meetup model where informal “Chattham House Rules” conversations, lead to invaluable, actionable, and measurable results.
Local nodes meet at a regular cadence to discuss and work through challenges specific to our member companies. Member companies, rotate hosting a ~3-hour, lightly catered event (sponsored by RC), at their facility. They provide both a tour of their facility and a brief presentation describing their business, and the specific challenges faced within their company/industry. Meetings are primarily meant for members to work through challenges facing their business, with advice, assistance, and mentorship from the group.
Random Colisions’ website serves to connect nationally and geographically dispersed regional nodes. It is a one-stop shop for events, member company promotion, and networking. A central feature of our website is a member directory where members can build a profile to connect and message other members within the community. This allows innovators to specifically reach out to those who may be able to help with a specific technical problem, or introduction, etc.
The primary content of the website will serve as an extension of our member company’s promotional activities. Members will be able to self-promote via our splash, blog/podcast, and calendar pages.

Our mission is to empower deep-tech entrepreneurs to thrive in the most challenging startup sector by building an engaged and active community, where institutional resources and expertise are openly shared. We make “hard tech” entrepreneurship just a little bit easier. Are you looking for a winning SBIR proposal example? Are you looking for industry or investor introductions? Are you seeking comparable terms for a JDA? Are you looking for affordable service providers who are familiar with your kind of business? Are you looking for an SME or technical partner? Our community is here to help because we actually get you! As hard tech founders we understand that there are no quick exits. Education and adoption cycles are years in the making. Our technologies don’t scale by “copy/paste”. Our customers are hyperrational and don’t make emotional purchasing decisions. Our startup journey is drastically different from any other startup segment. As a result, there are fewer resources available to accelerate hard tech startups. We are here to fill a needed community gap.As a member of our community, you have the opportunity to connect with other passionate individuals in the hard tech entrepreneurship space. We host semi-regular meetings at various geographic nodes across the US and abroad where we discuss what’s top of mind; seeking advice and guidance from our community members.
This group is for founders and the for the startup-curious only. All membership requests are reviewed by a human. We will never allow service providers or adjacent groups to spam our community. Membership is free for all.
